They cut every second. We stopped cutting.
One unbroken shot of milk going into a cup, and a morning rush that grew.

The cut
One shot of the pour, close, held for the full seven seconds it takes the pattern to appear. No music for the first two. The only text on screen is the time of day.

The story
What was going wrong
A cafe in Mississauga posting the same thing as every other cafe: a wide shot of the room, a shot of the beans, a shot of the sign. All of it cut fast enough that nothing landed.
What happened next
Weekday mornings grew by more than a quarter. Nobody watched it for the coffee. They watched it because the pattern arrives right at the end and you want to see it finish.
Nobody ever chose a cafe because of the foam. They do stay for six seconds to watch it form.
